Life can be as stressful as we get deceived into
believing. There will always be
uncertainty and the evil one wants us to think the worst and miss the beauty of
the moment. I am sure RVing has helped
me see this as clearly as any other element of life.
We landed in the KOA-Butte last night and the hydraulic
levelers would not function. It probably
doesn’t seem like a big deal to you, but in my mind it became a worrisome
event. The bedroom slideouts require the
levelers to be down to function properly and if they don’t function all of the
clothes and other belongings are locked behind the secret walls of the
slideout.
But if you think about it, that could be a big deal or
not. Limited clothing is better than
none. A selection of clothing is a
luxury. Don’t get me wrong, stinky
family members in close quarters can become extremely irritable, but it is not
a hospital room.
So the evil one painted a worst case scenario in my mind of
how unpredictable our future will now be without levelers. But God reminded me that the future is always
unpredictable, I simply forget that most days.
But he has brought me more than 50 years of unpredictability and it has
all worked out just fine.
So the pain in the Butte I was feeling was eased in my
mind. I actually took a little run along
the trails of Butte and came back to dinner and let my emotions settle a
bit. The workers at the KOA gave me a
card for the RV Wizard. He told me he
would arrive Thursday morning at 8am.

The Wizard did magic on our RV! |
At 7:55am he rolled in and began working on the
levelers. Again the evil one told me he
was not going to take care of the problem, but in a couple days we can get it
fixed and be on the road at the cost of missing some other activities along the
way. He lied, imagine that.
Kevin had the levelers functioning in less
than an hour and we are on our way to Road to the Sun. It would be better named for us, The Road to
the Son!
